Wand 2

This is my second wand. It is hand-carved from an althea branch for a graduation present for one of my friends and it is 13 3/4 inches long. I used a gouging tool to carve out the two twists on the handle and then the entire wand is painted with a high gloss black paint. Then I filled in the twisting gouges in the handle with light blue acrylic paint. The entire wand is sealed with a clear polyurethane.
